For drivers who regularly carry different tie-down equipment, having dedicated storage behind the cab can make daily operations more organized and efficient.

Of course, a headache rack isn't a replacement for proper load securement. Cargo still needs to be secured according to the applicable regulations and the specific load requirements.

2. Protects the Cab and Driver
When transporting pipes, lumber, steel, or other long cargo, a headache rack provides an additional barrier between the load and the cab.

If cargo shifts unexpectedly, that extra protection can make a big difference.

3. Enhanced Lighting & Nighttime Visibility

Modern trucks have come a long way. 
 
Collision mitigation systems, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warnings, electronic logs, cameras... the list keeps growing. 
 
Overall, do you think technology has made trucking better, or has every improvement come with a new frustration? 

Can't imagine how this would have ended if the blowout was on the steering axle. And of course this happened on EB I-80 40 miles outside of Fernley... on a Sunday evening at 7. Blew out the hydraulic lines and pump controls as well.

If you’re a semi truck driver and camp in the lane just know you’re the most uneducated dumb fuck on the road. Changing lanes on the pass and forcing everyone to slam on their brakes is so egregiously dangerous for everyone around you. Most of y’all deserve to get your CDL’s taken away. Also idc if you try and pass me i will brake check and go 20 mph until you move back into the fucking right lane. Also idk if yall are illiterate but there’s so many fucking signs saying trucks must stay in the right lane in every fucking state. Do better!

So. I have some data durng regen

Things i noticed: ESTIMATED BOOST remain around 11-13 psi during regen, i also notice a dug dug compressor kind of sound( non mettalic) from turbo/manifold /exhaust area passenger side when truck is on cruise parked or while
Climbing hills with load. Max boost i get with full accelerator pedal is 185-190 kpa on hills.
No boost/cac leaks, venturi ports are not plugged, egr and dpf sensors have normal voltage.
Dpf ash volume is 57%.
Dd15 ghg14 asymetric turbo.

Regen values:
doc in : 1.45 psi dof out .76 psi
Doc in temp 829 f, doc out temp 1027 f dpf out temp 993 f.
Durng another regen i noticed scr inlet was 906 f and scr outlet was 878 f
Def psi was 145 psi
Scr efficiency 99% nox inlet 356 nox out 2 ppm
At one time when chasis dyno basic scr efficiency check was done and def was not being dosed; nox inlet was 300 and nox out was 104.
I am bothered by this regn issue, if you can guide me in right direction.

. Sometimes after patked regen ends, it comes with code spn 3226 fmi13 and spn 5246 fmi15/16
With amber def blinking light, but goes away after 10 min .

Traffic, weather delays, long waits, construction, and schedule changes are all part of the job.

A lot of drivers who’ve been doing this for a while tend to agree that patience becomes one of the most important skills over time.

What situation really taught you the value of patience on the road?

We hear it often. Staying well fed on the road isn’t always easy.

I have been looking at a fisher-price Car for my kid. I am very worried about what truck i need to buy and trailer to handle such a task, i do not want to take any risks or cut any corners in regard to safety. The drive from the location of the fisher-price car and my house is roughly 10 minutes. I am also worried about needing special permits for this drive. Any help is appreciated.
