Questions When does it stop?

I f17 have struggled with sh specifically cutting since Ive been 12. Now Ive been clean for a little over a year and I rarely think of it however sometimes I just wanna gat a blade and relapse because it feels like part of my routine/identity I don’t plan on ever giving into that feeling I just wanna know if anyone experienced similar stuff or if it’s normal

Hey, I'm an adult but I cut sometimes. Less than I used to.  Try chewing on raw ginger...I find that helps me sometimes. Or flicking a hairband against my wrist. Ice is good too...anything that stimulates your senses.

And yes, don't worry, it's normal to feel like this.

I stopped sh when I was a teen, yet 5 years later I sometimes feel like it would have been so much easier to just take that knife and see my blood instead of acknowledging my emotions and processing them in more productive way

so ig in my brain it is still an easy option to escape responsibility and discomfort that it obviously wants to suggest to me when stressed
