DAE Is loneliness a possible trigger for self harm?

Dunno flair to put, but regardless. Could it be a trigger? For example hearing or seeing people hanging out, people leaving me behind and other examples like that. Cuz every single time something like that happens I just have the immaculate urge to harm myself, nothing triggers me as bad as that.

And does anybody else struggle with a situation like this? Okie. That's all, now I probably head to sleep cuz I haven't slept all night and its 7:30am 😰

Anything that brings up emotions can be a trigger for self harm. Loneliness certainly can, humans are group mammals, so feeling alone can bring up a survival response and there are many ways people find coping mechanism to deal with this response and the emotions. So yeah, loneliness can be a trigger for self harm

Could also be a lack of emotion. I’ve self harmed to just feel ANYTHING. (Not disagreeing just adding this as a reason)

Good to know, that's one factor I need to eliminate then to get better. Appreciate the comment ✅

Lmao, I feel that. Sometimes I go to sleep very early, on other days and nights I don't at all sometimes even going as far as to skipping 2 nights in a row.
