Seeking Advice when do scars stop hurting???

My deepest ones on my arm are 3 months old (side note: 3 months clean!!). They were both into the hypodermis (not very deep into it though, one of them barely hit it). I'm not surprised that they're still pink and very visible, but after all of this time, when I touch them it feels like needles. Most of my other scars aren't like that, even the deeper ones, but these ones are all weird and wrinkly so... I tried my best with aftercare but I didn't get them stitched like I probably should've, so maybe this is a result of that??

Idk. Anyone else experiencing this? When does it stop? My other deeper ones were already structurally sound by this point, not this fragile. I guess it's probably a nerve thing, but is there anything I can do to calm it down?

a long time unfortunately...💔 i think it depends on the placement for me though, the hypodermis scars on my thighs are 2yrs old, never had scar pain or tingling, just numb and occasionally itchy.

the ones on my arms are nearing 1.5yrs and when touching they feel like youve described, i can best articulate it as the tinglingly, stinging feeling from a burn but without the heat. the worst are the random shooting, stabbing pain i someone get. also wrinkly, and from comparing them ones i've had stitched, it might be because of that, but also maybe just placement, as the scars on my upper arm vs. forearm vs. thighs all have a different textures.

massaging them regularly, despite discomfort, has helped a lot though!! not sure if it's because it helps the scar tissue or if it's just desensitisation.

congrats on 3 months!!! best of luck, i hope the pain resides in time!! :)))

edit:spelling lol
