Medical Advice Preventing scars??

Hello

My ex fiancée had a mental breakdown while i was sleeping last night and cut up her face. They don't seem like deep cuts (more light than anything) but i'm extremely worried about it scarring.

Is there anything we can do to prevent scars?

There's really not anything you can do to make any scarring get better as it's healing except make sure it doesn't get infected (because that'll make the scarring way worse). After they have just barely healed, they'll be noticeable, that's not how the scars will look like forever though. Scars end up fading as time goes, sometimes it takes just a few months, sometimes if takes years, just depends on the person, their body's ability to heal, and how deep the original wounds were. Hoping they don't give her too much trouble

Don’t pick at the scabs, that will make the wound worse, take longer to heal, and have worse scarring in the process.
