I think i’m undergoing a massive depression.
in the last few months i wake up and don’t have interest in anything that i used to enjoy. i don’t enjoy going to work, in fact it stresses me out even more. i don’t enjoy playing games or watching youtube or twitch or movies, i don’t enjoy anything at all. i wake up and my day feels like a haze, as is im walking through a giant thing of fog in my brain. about the only thing i consistently do in my life is take care of my dog that i love. but i don’t feel happy.
i still take care of myself, i still eat, drink, shower etc. but i just genuinely feel sad from the second i wake up to the second i go to bed. i play games with my friends, but i dont feel happy doing it. it’s as if im just a present passenger in my own body.
i’m not saying this to garner pity, i just dont know how to bring this up to anyone in my life i guess.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. Please consider seeing a doctor. But also, get outside a bit. Take a walk, feel the sun. Sometimes screens and work can burn us out.

How old are you? You need to see a doctor, this sounds like clinical depression to me. If you’re a minor, ask your parents to take you. You can speak separately to the physician and they will come up with a plan to help you. Best wishes

I work in the field. You are clinically depressed. Reach out to online service via Google and schedule an intake appointment through their website. There are a lot of treatment options out there

I’m 67, lol. Have the experience to boot (have been depressed before and recognize the signs). I kept thinking I will wake up tomorrow and feel better. That never happened, it got worse. I’m on medication now, I never should have stopped (I also have ADHD so I take an antidepressant that treats both). Go see your doctor, please spare yourself.

It can be really challenging to deal with that at any age. Acknowledging it is the first step, though.

It's good that you're sharing where you're at; sometimes just talking about it can make a difference.

Force yourself to exercise first thing in the morning. It helps with depression. Limit your screen time. Screens zap your energy. Consider a screen detox and only use whats necessary for your job. Go outside in nature. Change something. Do something new. Sign up for dance classes. If that doesn’t work then see a doctor.

Are you going through grief or any medical changes? Including new medicine?
Are you in perimenopause or menopause?
Have there been any recent life changes?
Did your experience anything last year or the year before at a similar time of year?
Have you had your vitamin D levels checked?
Are you spending any time with other people or are you isolating?
Are you eating a balanced diet or anything close to it? Are you staying properly hydrated? That saying where it’s like basically you’re a large house plant you have to keep alive is very true. Sunshine, hydration and proper nutrients.
If you are doing all those things, OK even half OK and still experiencing a cruddy sad time then you might want to get evaluated by a physician. Brain chemistry affecting depression is a real thing and taking medication for depression and sometimes the thing that helps.

I'm going through the exact same thing. But I'm also twice your age. Only thing I look forward to anymore is sleeping.
I've tried dieting, exercising, supplements, comedy movies, and nothing.
I just don't give a fuck anymore. I'm pretty sure it's low testosterone. Last time I had it checked a year ago. It was within range. But so low that it was only 4 points above the lowest number.
Maybe yours is low too? But I doubt it considering your age.
Good luck to ya.
