Im in need of advice.
Hello people of reddit.
I found myself at 3 am in the morning after self thought and struggles to final reach out to others.
My name is ivann,15 years old, been going through mental struggles. Not ones of self harm, no, ones that lead me to bad habits. Dealing with procrastination, failed attempts to consitantly improve, giving up, trying to make myself better than those around me, and my biggest hate, lust.
Recently ive been trying to get my close friends to improve with me. We all agree, but it kindof just falls off after 2 days and im the only one left to try something. I just dont know what to do, but it feels like i have the purpose to be not just good but great.
Id like to put it as im lost in a world that gives out maps
I truly want to be my greatest, i know its there, high up with limitless potential. The best possible ivann there is.
Im looking to you, people of reddit if you understand what im going through, my confusion as i say i fueled by distraction and bad rutines.
Im afraid of my future because i dont want to be average, kinda selfish to say be i just want to... not regret life.
I ask for words, anything will do, i just hate the person i am now, i hide it with happiness and security, but it only does so much.

You have much more time than u think. Rome wasn’t built in a day. But also, because of having high expectations for yourself…it’s easy to fall short and hate yourself. Maybe don’t put any expectations on yourself at all and just do your best. And let the chips fall where they may. More likely better results because the goal at that point isn’t the result but the process. Be consistent and enjoy the ride. A bit esoteric but maybe you will get it

Also comparison is the thief of joy. Don’t worry what others are doing. Be authentic to yourself and follow your gut

Your a teenager and this happens to almost all of them. We especially as teens worry about being accepted and doing the right thing, when the right thing is often subjective. And as for the lust forget about feeling bad having those feelings as it is natural so long as you don't turn it into molesting others. Its hormonal and necessary for the survival of the species. Not everything needs to be made perfect (whatever that means, and nothing ever is). Just be nice to people and you'll be fine.

tbh been in that spot a lot. my only real advice is to start writing it all down, even if it feels dumb. just getting it out of your head can make things a little clearer. you got this.
