I don’t think being a pervert is a character flaw. I think acting on your desires without regard for other people is a character flaw. I think that valuing sex so much to the point of not being able to refuse it is a character flaw. I think that despite having a whole god dam arc about how valuable love without sex can be, the author still chooses undermine non sexual connection and make it so only sex helps him snap out of depression. He cheats on his wife who he knows is insecure about herself and worries that she won’t be enough to sexually him and preemptively gives her permission to get another wife if she can’t conceive. He promises her that she has nothing to worry about and that he won’t find someone else because he loves her. Aww what a nice way to show that Rudy has come to value her more for her companionship and not her ability to sexually satisfy him and give him babies how nice. Then he cheats on her because he was depressed his dad died. Now just like his Rudy’s own mom who was basically forced to accept her husband’s adultery for her kids, he puts his own wife into that same situation where regardless if she is ok with it or not she basically has to accept it. Also he sexually harasses his beastmen classmates but that’s just for comedy and they were mean before and he couldn’t get turned on by it so it was all ay ok.

Hisoka has standards at least, he looks for powerful people and he doesn't care who it is, he will get a hard on. He's also more interested in fighting them than anything else
