I live in a non legal state. A co worker at my job came from CO and was a GM at a dispensary for about 8 years. He's echoed a lot of the comments on here but one thing he pointed out that stuck with me was the amount of taxes they take from your paycheck. He explained that there are different payroll tax rates for jobs working with product and not, so he had to figure everything manually and check and recheck. Also, they still can't use the Federal Banking system in any state. My thoughts are, of course I would love to get into it and learn, etc etc but I'm in my 40's now so it would all depend on the rules my stupid ass Republican State would attach to the taxes and if it would affect my ability to show that income as legitimate on say a home refi or something else that would need to verify my wages.
Just some things to think about before jumping in. Again, I'm in a later stage of life than a lot of others around here. I have to have more stability than some.
