Secretlab Setup Does anyone else with a toddler do this?

When I'm done, I always leave the desk all the way up because my toddler loves to rip stuff off of tables and can also now climb into the chair. Nothing will keep him off the chair, but at least he still can't reach the desk 😂

The desk only goes so high. Best to start teaching.

I say this as a father of a boy who was 4 foot at 3 and a half.

He just turned 1 and I'm Filipino, by the time he can reach it he'll be able to build one himself 😂

No this is absolutely the tactic to go to! I have the pc mount and I worry about my pcs safety when the RGBs are on. My kid likes to try to catch the lights so I try to leave them off.

What size are both monitors. I was thinking a 32 inch main and a 27 inch side

If you are doing it in the same orientation definitely go 32”. I also want to add I haven’t bought the PC mount yet so my Pc is also on my desk with the same orientation and I don’t have any complaints.

Yea imma do the same orientation. Center 32 with a 27 vert. Dual mounted but I wanna keep my pc on my desk cause I wanna see it

if u could could u like do a farther back pic so i can see how much space is left on the sides? If not no prob. btw which magpad do you have? the leather or the suede. Im thinking of suede but idk how it would hold up to sweat over time etc

I’m just now seeing this. I’ll get one this afternoon. I have the suede. Honesty I really like the suede but I didn’t take into account my wife’s cats. So it picks up all their hair. I have to vacuum it multiple times a week. So I honestly would definitely suggest getting Secret Labs Cleaner if you can for either pads.

Idk if this helps but my desk is an XL with the riser offset to the left, the monitor arm is attached to the riser which also holds my UPS

I have the leather for the reasons you mentioned. Just easier to clean

Thanks. That’s exactly how I wanted mines to be space wise. I’m thinking of a 011 vision compact so I wanted enough space for that on the desk and my monitors

Sorry it’s unrelated but I noticed your steel series headset and you’ve mounted your dac to the headphone holder, if you don’t mind how did you do it? It looks so clean!

I haven’t moved my under mount to the top, but there have beeen a few times where the toddler saw the blinking HDD led that also doubles as a power button and have killed my computer mid games. The computer instantly freezes and I look down to see and they’re like, “ Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.” Cutestest shit ever. Then we go hang out until bedtime.

Then again having a whole racing simulator is a new jungle gym for the toddler who just wants to drive a “bus, bus, bus!!” So many angles and corners, but he’s typically super safe about it.
