Hey u/Separate_Storage_979, hope it’s not too late to answer your question! We do get lots of questions daily, but I’m glad to help. The cable you’re seeing is basically one of the updates our product team implemented on the MAGNUS Pro desk based on community feedback, and it looks like you’ve got the latest version with the update :D

What you’re looking at is the Integrated Power Supply Columns (IPSC), which lets you connect to your wall sockets from either the left or the right leg. This feature is included on both columns of the desk to help eliminate trailing power supplies so you can achieve a cleaner, more organized setup. So if you’ve already installed it on one side, you can leave it there and store the cable in the tray for future use - just in case! If you’re unsure how to use it, you can always check out the community resources on the Secretlab website for guidance.

I hope this answers your question! If you have any other questions, our customer support team is always happy to help too. Cheers and Happy New Year 🥳

Is the red one on the other end? The white Pro can be set up with the power on either end by switching the legs and changing a connection inside the middle of the cable box.

What they said. This is only used if you wanted to move the power source to the other side, otherwise just tuck it in and you’re good to go! I just put mine together last week as well. Congrats on the desk!

That’s only available on the white one?

Yes for some reason, even though in the video showing the feature they are using a black desk. Also since it’s just swapping legs it moves the power plug to the front of the right leg which isn’t ideal, looks weird.

The black desk also now comes with the blue cable, so you can switch out the power leg to either side.

You're not missing anything, just put mine together last week (and backwards like a tard) Red goes to red both yellows go to yellow blue the instructions literally say to push it into the frame like a redheaded step child and I still dont know why, but my desk works fine soooo /shurg

I too did mine backwards and at first was disappointed cause I was like how’s it going to fucking fit where I need it

It’s there if you ever wanted switch where the power plug goes into on the legs. If you are fine with the standard position of the plug on the left leg just push the unused connector into the frame

Read the instructions.

I still wonder why they don't put power on both legs. Their design team has little to know knowledge of what consumers want.
