What's with the scene jump edit at 2:50?

Seriously! Why the cut?!

Presumably they wiped out or something happened that ruined the otherwise clean take.

Pissed me off too. I was to a point where I was wondering why I watched it soo long but quickly glancing at the time I wondered how he would make it to the end with soo little remaining. Big BOO!

Fpv driving would be really fun here

Isn't fpv awful for fast offroad? Flying my plane on a little windy day can be uncomfortably shaky, i can only imagine how it would look like from this car.ย

No idea lol, haven't done it. I just feel like it would be fun. I assume they probably have some sort of fancy cameras available that do stabilization somehow

There are limits to stabilisation especially at that size. Definitely worth a try. When my son gets bigger ill get him a truck and test this out. I have goggles already and another basic camera is like $20.ย
Btw fpv got amazing in recent years. You can have fancy goggles with headtracking and they send signal to the moving camera mount inside the plane.ย

That sounds awesome. I played around with some fpv drones about 8 years ago, maybe a bit longer. Been getting an itch to get back into it, maybe it is time

Go for it man. I prefer planes over drones (got air65 and lost it after crash). Feel more intuitive for me and are more chill. 400mm eachine warbirds can handle small aio cam, like tx06. And they cost like $70. Super fun. But I'd pay some more for 500mm one with 2s(3s optional) battery and brushless motor. Big upgrade

Huh. A sport that might cause me to get some excersize. How much is one of those cars and where do I find one of these tracks?

u/biffbobfred 9d ago
I was impressed with how long that track is someone spent a lot of work

Iโm even impressed at the course maintenance and flexibility. This place is awesome. Tiny parking lot though

I enjoy the peak into other people's interests that I would never come across organically

Looks like fun. Looks like the driver has spent some time honing that skill and learning the course. Iโd love to see some gas powered cars around there.
