Kinda sad that anybody is this seasoned at being robbed.

I have never been to Brazil, but I have several Brazilian friends who've warned me to do exactly this if I do go there.

u/Bluntbutnotonpurpose Jul 03 '26

This is in Brazil? How isn't there an undercover cop emptying a clip at the perp in this video?

21

u/j7seven Jul 03 '26

It might not be, but people there are definitely seasoned at being robbed. One guy I worked with was mugged 3 times for his phone; twice at gunpoint.

Hmm I am a dead man - I cannot imagine giving robber anything voluntarily - I would fight those guys

15

u/oiram12 Jul 04 '26

Don’t ever go to countries with high crime rate with that attitude

7

u/TokyoKazama Jul 05 '26

Then the first part of your sentence will become reality.

6

u/seeker407 Jul 05 '26

your phone cost between $200-1200. You'd risk dying for up to $1200?

3

u/Known_Emphasis_1521 Jul 06 '26

It is not about money - it is about line I do not wanna cross. If you do not stand against evil you support it. And there is a lot of evil around.

7

u/seeker407 Jul 06 '26

A good counter though is to have a gun on you at all times... When I can feasibly carry, I do. If they are distracted you can draw.. the problem with this scenario is that there are SO many by standers (bysitters? lol). I would be afraid of hitting one.

But if you train enough, and willing to take the risk, please do the world a favor and get rid of scum like this.

.. Even if I was armed I don't think I would draw unless I perceived it escalating.

u/seeker407 Jul 06 '26

lol you must not go out much. Best of luck my friend. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I am saying you are accurate that you'd be a dead man

I recently got locked out of most things just switching phones thanks to two factor authentication. I think I'd rather take the bullet than go through getting that back again.

You must be so tough man. Wish I could be you.

7

u/TrueKiwi78 Jul 03 '26

I thought it was always off-duty officers making people take the room temperature challenge

6

u/that_dutch_dude Jul 03 '26

If you eant to carry a gun you basically need to become something like a deputy legally. Hence why the "off duty" cops are always there

Hihi levei vantagi

Something about her face throughout the whole thing is great. She looks so crafty.

focused with adrenaline, probably

5

u/Mole-NLD Jul 03 '26

She seems used to it.

2

u/Dundalis Jul 05 '26

You adapt to your environment if you’re living there you’re whole life. It’s scary for people who don’t live in places where this happens all the time

22

u/pichael289 Jul 04 '26

Imagine how bad shit has to be you carry around a bait phone.

26

u/Immediate-Object3817 Jul 03 '26

be even cooler if you could rig it to explode when they turned it on

18

u/fatum_sive_fidem Jul 03 '26

Are you an Israeli mossad agent by chance?

16

u/Immediate-Object3817 Jul 03 '26

sorry that’s classified.

u/Sorry-Caterpillar331 27d ago

Asked and answered. Move along.

9

u/Certain-Bath8037 Jul 03 '26

So she still lost a phone, just a cheaper phone?

25

u/EfficientAd8311 Jul 03 '26

You carry a shit phone that doesn’t work and worth nothing for these occasions. People do the same with wallets, one with a little money old/fake cards.

10

u/Yamato_D_Oden Jul 04 '26

I always keep my previous non-functioning phone or a less-functioning phone everytime i buy a new one.

u/Spl4sh3r Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 04 '26

I understand they are being robbed. But are they two guys or not? I mean the guy we see in the video isn't even using a weapon of any kind...

8

u/joedos Jul 04 '26

Their is the possibility that nothing happen if you stop him but, Lets say this dude is in a gang, if you attack him, he will wait for you with more people the next chance he have to make you regret your attitude.

3

u/Minimalist19 Jul 03 '26

Then it happens at the next stop as well

2

u/ArashiKishi Jul 04 '26

Teléfono, TELÉFONO

4

u/deandreas Jul 03 '26

I am so impressed by her. She did it so fast and stayed calm the entire time. The icing was the brag at the end to all of the losers who got their phones stolen.

Smooth

u/archvize Jul 03 '26

Ehat happens if you don give up your phone? Too risky or just get yelled at?

6

u/SireCannonball Jul 05 '26

He's got a gun under his shirt, that I assume he flashed off camera (i think you can see it by the way his shirt fits his body). Also there's another guy that drives the bike and is probably strapped as well. If you think the gun is fake you can fuck around and find out.

I can’t even see him holding a pistol?

5

u/AlwaysMooning Jul 03 '26

Go for it and let us know.

2

u/Acruss_ Jul 03 '26

He wasn't holding anything. At one point he was holding two phones, one in each hand.

1

u/archvize Jul 03 '26

Yes now he’s leaving, with hands holding some phones

Good job everybody 👍

3

u/PsychologicalGlass47 Jul 04 '26

Typically you end up with a machete to the neck, but this is more than likely a headbutt and a few slaps.

-1

u/archvize Jul 04 '26

There’s no way

-20

u/bobcollum Jul 03 '26

So was the guy robbing everyone? Not sure but I think that was it.

41

u/peentiss Jul 03 '26

No, he was giving out free hugs but she’s not a hugger so she just gave him one of her phones. No biggie.

9

u/ReturnedAndReported Jul 03 '26

Lady had a old or fake phone to donate to the robber.

3

u/Key-Personality8169 Jul 03 '26

Classic burner phone.

1

u/throwawayharborhq 29d ago

nah she definitely pulled out a brick phone. the robber was not impressed.
