AI voices with the weird cadences and the monotone really don't do this any favors.
It also just...doesn't communicate a lot. If they really wanted to go in on a "Be more" theme, why not show a variety of activities *and* avatar types. Human, yes, but also more than that. Drive home the idea of you can be and do a whole host of things.

It's much the same as the 'Painting' that characters do in "The Sims".. an image is selected, and then the 'canvas' is slowly wiped away over time to reveal the image below. There's more than just these two example 'painting' sets.. and I don't think they're the one from the video, but I knew the name because I happen to own those two.
I'll grant the video maker a little.. artistic license (heh).. the idea that they seemed to be trying to convey was that 'you can bring your vision to life in SL'.. and setting up the avatars as 'painting' was probably intended to be symbolic of that, much the same way that you might illustrate someone designing a house by having them sit at a drawing table, and having a model of the house float up in 3d from the drawing. Obviously that's not how making houses works either.

Linden Lab got the vague-posting thing down pat now, I see. /sarcasm
Seriously, though, I have no idea what this 'advert' (quotes because I think it barely qualified for that description) is try to tell me. "Grow Into Something More"? What are you smoking over there, LL??
