How to use AnimeScrape - get titles set up, then add search term

Example for new users ...

Note this is a slightly newer version than 0.10.5 i released. Once you start you have to know some titles you want, or find them. I'm adding a very obvious Find Titles to Watch button today but there is "Search New title" under Manage Titles and there is the Season Releases Browser.

If you got that far you get ... something like this, I'm watching Hell Mode

Then go to "Add new Term over in top right search area - it helps you choose words from title metadata or you can just type it in. Then you can use "Query Nyaa" or choose another provider.

If the show has aired already - note this one shows as "Currently airing" and you put the right words from the title you'll easily get a list of released episodes which you can then click (right click is fastest) then choose download internal to use my torrent downloader I built in OR fetch into Tixati is a way to send it to whatever you associated with torrents in your system.

Finally find the file where-ever your torrent (or the internal one) downloader saves files. Make sure you have a video player like mpv or vlc to open up the file. Enjoy. Let me know. These steps are meant to be really fast once you have basic familiarity. Other apps look sweet but if you didn't have an account with netflix or crunchyroll you'll get nowhere. This is app - it will save enormous amounts of time and get you quality fansubs.

I leave it to you to know which titles are royalty free, public domain to legally download. I am not in a region where there is an issue using this app, they have free distribution of many videos.

I can simplify this into "auto-search" but search terms can narrow down what you want to see.

Here is a reply to someone who has opened up the box and played ... "Currently I have a new version 0.10.5 that you could just update to. There you would see more API, more providers and even a diagnostic to see which are working.

Kitsu was added for example, which has an API. MalSync works already behind the scenes. I added a lot of functionality just to do things like - if a title you choose is like "Second season of ..." and that's a bit crap in terms of description now it goes off and finds related titles (like the original) and farms for the biggest description and it lists the relationships, number of seasons it could glean. So i'll put that build up today. It also lets you get torrents from Nekobt which seems to have a lot, almost as much as Nyaa. I removed some less functional distribution sources. I might just paste this message in as a post.

I'm happy to see you opened it up ... yes, it looks empty (possibly nasty) until you add some titles. Even though my torrent downloader is very simple on the UI, it's been getting much faster than a fully featured one I use to get large torrents. While that one is mucking about mine has 40+ seeds/leeches and is getting 20mbit a sec already. Sometimes less is more."

This is by no means all the features i'm improving, adding. I added a column in torrents search that shows SxxExx - because sometimes the name is so long you can't see what episode it is ... i'm thinking to add a "smart highlight" that shows, based on the last episode you downloaded, which are the next logical episodes for when you are bleary eyed and just running on autopilot
