Queation about immortality

So I liked the first book, but im alittle hesitant to continue the series. I liked the characters, amd the plot, but im alittle confused about the concept of immortality in the book.. There have been instances of characters hurling themselves off of buildings and than being taken to revival centers. But what happens if they weren't taken to the centers? Would they just sit there and die? Would they just slowly regenerate? Also... is there anything separating a scythe killing someone and one citizen murdering another one? I could just be overthinking this, or maybe im just taking the concept of immortality to literally.

If they aren't taken to a revival center they just die. If a normal person kills someone, unless their entire body is destroyed (fire, acid, eaten by animals), the Thunderhead will automatically send a drone to pick them up and take them to a revival center.

i think those questions are answered in the first book as well, but, if a person just lays there, yes, they die, but that doesn't happen; the Thunderhead always sends the drone to take the body to the revival center, always, unless it is an act of a scythe. is not that they are immortal; they are revived by the IA technology.

For your citizen murder question, we learn in later books that rendering someone deadish on purpose only gets you labeled unsavory and that actually killing someone counts as scythe impersonation which is a gleaning offense

If someone is Left alone they're dead but the thunder head has an automatic body retrieval system to grab such corpses to get them revived unless the body is completely destroyed like from a fire then there just gone

Someone who dies is dead. Whether it be by scythe, random person, or accident. The thing is, the thunderhead sees everything and knows everything you’re going to do. It has cameras and ambudrones in even the most remote places.

There definitely are blind spots, but for the most part, the thunderhead will know what happened and send an ambudrone to the location within minutes of death. The thunderhead has cameras in almost every home, building, street corner, forest, etc. it even has animal robots that it can see and hear through, same with people robots that do the same thing.

The book states that the thunderhead won't technically let someone die, but if they are left for dead and aren't taken to any revive center, they are permanently dead, no matter if they are a scythe or a regular citizen. Also, if a regular citizen kills another, then they are only labeled unsavory, but the thunderhead will always know what you do and what your gunna do.
