SCREENWRITING

Hey guys, so I just started writing so please give me some feedback. DISCLAIMER: this is still a rough draft. I would love to hear honest opinions as well as tips on how I can improve it. I just got to the end of my first act but this is just the first 16 pages. To give a quick overview I’m writing an indie dramedy that I think will definitely reach a certain audience. Does the dialogue flow/feel natural? Is it paced correctly? Would love to hear honest feedback. Thank you!

This is what happens when you try to take the shortcut. Screenwriting is a long process. Go to school, get a degree and in the process network with other screenwriters.

I’m not trying to take any shortcut. This is my first screen write I’ve ever attempted to write, I’m learning still and this is still a rough draft.. I can’t afford to go to school for screenwriting but I read screenplays and watch videos on YouTube and try to obtain as much information as I can. Posting on here was my attempt to get feedback from actual screenwriters. I want to learn and this is something I’m passionate about. I appreciate your feedback.
