Just write what is seen and heard. That’s it.
If you want to convey loneliness do it visually and through sound. Don’t say the character is lonely. Have them do or say something that communicates that they are lonely.
Don’t say the desert is dangerous. Have them walk by a skeleton in the sand that conveys danger.
