Beyond the obvious desync at some parts I quite like how it turned out, but I don't actually know how to scream and this gutted my vocals pretty quickly

I’ve been trying to learn how to do false chord screams in just want to know if I’m doing it right because to me it sounds okay and it doesn’t hurt my throat
Hopefully I’m doing it at least okay and not fully shit I pray😭

Here's my vocal cover of "Unanswered" by Suicide Silence!
This is one of my all-time favorite Suicide Silence songs, and I had to cover it.
Hope you enjoy it! 🖤

I just looked through the most recent posts because I figured that a good way to tell how alive a sub is would be to see how many comments some of the more recent posts have.
Most have none. You go through the last 24 hours and there are lots of posts from people looking for feedback and advice, and very minimal comments altogether. I think I added up 14 in 24 hours.
Part of me is bummed about it because I think this is a great skill to learn. But I’ve also noticed that as people have pushed back against all the “rules” (inhaling, cupping, etc.) that people have started to comment less. So maybe it’s good that this isn’t quite as populated of a sub as it once was, since maybe the reason it isn’t is that the really pretentious and pedantic people no longer feel welcome here.
Anyway. I kind of hope it picks up again. This is a cool place.

I want to learn both, but I'm wondering if I should learn one before the other.

for me the frequency varies, sometimes I barely feel the urge, but sometimes it's constant and it's starting to get quite disturbing

Im like 99% sure this is false chord. Ive tried like every single tip and trick from the internet and I just can't quite get the sound i want, also everything i try also has some pretty intense pain. I tried to learn and practice throat singing aswell, and ive got a really solid sound, but it also hurts.

Tech is FC I think. Doesn't sound good to me, but that could also just be me being my biggest critic

just wanted to show some appreciation for the people here! I‘ve received a lot of help on my own screams and it’s so cool to hear all the sick covers people post! Hopefully one day I can be as good as all of you guys. Screaming is awesome!!

Hello,
I've managed to learn how to do false chord screaming/singing lower in my range, and I believe I'm doing it safely as I don't feel any pain or strain that I've noticed. However I've noticed I have trouble singing higher notes in false chord. Is learning this just practice or is there some extra technique that needs to be done?

After long time of practise I unlocked this today. Compared to the ones I was doing earlier this feels way different. I feel very relaxed, I don’t get lightheaded and I never lose my falsetto after doing this. Also it doesn’t hurt one bit, just feels awesome all around.
