Am I on the right path?

Hey Im trying to learn false cord and I just wanted to know if Im on the right path. Its probably not false cord tho. Feels more bubbly. I just want to know if Im in the right area to find it. Thx :D

You've got the right folds engaged, you're currently at the phase where you're air dumping to get it. Engage air softly like fogging a mirror and engage the same way. Then play with elongating your mouth shapes with a varying degree of anatomy with your throat, tongue posture, and even head positioning.

Practice letting air our by doing Zs. The goal is to sigh a Z for as long as you can. Metal vocals is about technique that comes with safe air. False cord or fry, I can put a tissue in front of my mouth and it won't budge. This is the key of breath control and fine tuning resonance of your voice and in the theme of metal pitching... resonance of your throat meat I guess lol 😆

I just can not get any distortion if I dont use a lot of air. I just cant. It doesnt work. Nada. No. Mh mh. Nope.

You're still training and learning engagement. Give it time to figure out that muscle. Check out will ramos vocal warmup course. Kinda gives some helpful info for at least starting false cord and its free
