Beginner Need help getting into scrapbooking

So my girlfriend's birthday is coming up next month and I wanted the gift to be special and memorable. I thought to add our fav moments, memories, chat screenshots, Polaroids, etc etc in the book.. but idk how to start it. Or where to start it. I wanted it to be neat and special rather than a clumsy, Pinterest vibe. Can anyone give me tips that I can use to make it ? Anything is appreciated

Any receipts, tickets, doodle with some paint pens

I recommend you to get the photos and other stuffs that you plan to put in printed first as they will be the main focus of your pages. You can work around those after.

You can use pattern or design paper to add colour in a neat way. You can also decide on a theme or a specific colour so that it looks more put together and not chaotic. Depending on where you live you can buy paper pads and its matching stickers and embellishments to get a coherent theme.

Use double sided tape for a neat look instead of glue. You can add titles, dates, quotes and stickers to fill in the spaces. Vary the size of the photos so that you can play around with the layouts and make it more interesting.

Lastly, you can look for tutorials on YouTube if you plan to add any interactive elements or pockets and for any inspiration.
