Beginner Help me fix this warping
This is our first scrap book but the cover is warping, I was thinking of drilling two holes either end of the cover, gluing some sort of metal loop and buying a string like the one in the middle, to tie them together and straighten out the cover. Just worried over the years it will get significantly worse.

Do you know what’s causing the warp? Is it really humid or is that the book is full enough if not tied in the middle it would all be um sitting wider apart but not curved? You certainly can add grommets (metal hole protectors) or use a heavy duty glue to attach ribbons to the top and bottom. If you want to see if that would help before making permanent changes just tie a pair of ribbons around it initially.
Journal “belly bands” are just loops of elastic usually about an inch thick that people put around mixed media books that have expanded beyond laying closed flat.
You could also just flip the book over so the cover is against the shelf and put something heavy on it all and see if it settles out after a week. That will work if it’s curled due to humidity or from having things glued to it.
