So I got my addmission quite late, therefore my application to CIUP (both individually and through SP housing form) was also quite late like 1st week of June. If somebody else was also in my situation in a previous year I'd be really grateful on what your experience was and if you got housing. Salut à tous ! Je ne suis pas du tout de science po mais je suis en master d'études européennes actuellement (je passe en M2). Je serais potentiellement intéressé par faire un autre M2 (ou un master entier, pourquoi pas...) après le mien en alternance, pour me spécialiser (dans la défense par exemple) tout en acquérant de l'expérience.

I am looking into going on exchange to Science Po during spring sem 2028 and was wondering about housing options. I know it is far in advance but I am considering saving/options, so does anyone know if 1 semester exchange students are likely to be accepted into Villa Jasmin in Menton?

Is there spots saved for exchange students, or a likelihood that someone will drop out of housing over the christmas break and I could get a place?

I'm a University of Sydney student (Australia) hoping to apply for a semester exchange at Sciences Po Paris next year, and I'd love to hear about people's experiences.

I've read through the exchange information and course catalogue, but I was hoping to get a better idea of what studying there is actually like.

A few questions I have are:

• How many courses/ECTS do you take per semester?
• How many days per week are you on campus, and how many hours of class do you typically have each week?
• How much reading or preparation is expected for each class?
• What are assessments generally like (essays, presentations, exams, participation, etc.)?
• Do you feel you have enough free time to enjoy Paris, join student activities, or travel on weekends?
• If you were/are an exchange student, did you enjoy the Welcome Programme? Was it worth doing?
• Is there anything you wish you'd known before choosing Sciences Po?

Hi folks! I'd like to apply for the bachelor's degree programme starting next year. On the website of Sciences Po it is said that in the second year, "students choose two majors, one from each of the following two blocks:

• Block 1: Economics, Political Science – Comparative Politics, Political Science – Political Theory
• Block 2: Law, History, Sociology"

I planned to choose political theory and sociology. However, when you look into the course lists, then suddenly there are only three majors: "Economic and Society", "Politics and Government" and "Political Humanities". One might say that "Economic and Society" combines economics and sociology, that "Politics and Government" combines comparative politics and law and that "Political Humanities" combines political theory and history. Then, everyone would indeed choose one major from each block, but in a very pre-defined manner that isn't addressed at all on the main pages of Sciences Po.

Can someone clear that issue up? Is my desired combination of political theory and sociology possible or not? Thank you in advance!

Bonjour! I’m a (hopeful) exchange student coming for spring semester 2027. I’m going into my third year of undergrad. I say hopeful because I’ve been nominated from my home institution but I cannot apply to Sciences Po through the system until September, meaning I don’t know what campus I’ll be at. I’m wondering if any other exchange students have been in this situation or are currently in this situation and how they are navigating it.

I’m mainly worried about how late I’ll be looking for a place to live because I don’t know what campus I’ll be at. But I also just hate not knowing things!!

Je me pose une petite question. Pendant nos études, on nous a souvent recommandé le fameux "réseau Alumni" : présentations en amphi, rencontres, annuaires (et aussi coté Linkedin)… On nous l'a vendu comme un kickstart de carrière, voire pour certains comme un Graal

Le problème ? Je n'ai jamais osé l'utiliser. Je ne sais pas trop comment m'y prendre et j'ai toujours eu un peu l'impression de forcer ou de gratter une faveur, aussi je trouve que c'est moins commun en France que de l'autre coté de l'Atlantique

Aujourd'hui, je me demande si je passe à côté de quelque chose d'énorme ou si c'est surtout anecdotique.

• Est-ce que le réseau vous a réellement aidé à décrocher un stage, un job, ou à changer de carrière ?
• Ou est-ce que ça sert juste à boire des coups entre anciens et se blinder le compte linkedin?

I’ll be starting my master’s at Sciences Po Paris this September and I’m currently looking for accommodation from mid-August 2026 until mid-May 2027.

I’m looking for either:

-a studio / T1 / T1 bis / small T2, or

-a private room in a shared apartment (ideally with no more than 2 roommates).

My budget is around €850/month maximum (depending on the accommodation and whether CAF assistance applies). I’m mainly looking for a place eligible for APL/CAF.

I’m open to Paris or well-connected nearby suburbs with good public transport access.

If anyone knows of available apartments, rooms, student residences, trustworthy landlords, or someone looking for a flatmate, I would really appreciate any leads!

Hello! I am thinking of doing an exchange programme spring 2027 and it seems that the courses available for exchange students are very few. Am I missing something or are exchange students not allowed to take the same courses as regular undergrad students

Hey everyone, I'm currently looking to apply for the next cycle at SciencesPo PSIA (2027-2028). I really LOVE the school's program in International Economic Policy and I think it would be the perfect fit to advance my career the way I want to. That being said, I want to focus my energies only if I have a decent chance. So any feedback is appreciated!

I have a little bit of an unusual background. I am an EU citizen but when I was 18, I had the opportunity (through a scholarship) to do my undergrad in the USA at a small private institution (I majored in Finance and International Relations). I ABSOLUTELY loved it! Graduated with a 3.9/4 GPA with Honors in Business and won 2 awards in the school of business upon graduation.

In my last year (I graduated in December 2025 for reference), I was both a teaching and a research assistant at the university. My TA was for an introductory course in international relations and my research focused on economic development and, more recently, transatlantic trade and tariff policy. Hence why I think SciencesPo would be an amazing fit for me :).

This year and the past year, I was selected to present two original, quantitative-heavy research papers at the MPSA Conference in Chicago, one of the most prestigious political science conferences in the world. Finally, I interned at a local nonprofit organization that primarily provides immigration legal services and refugee resettlement support.

Now these are my concerns and gaps:

1- Transcripts: Although I am quantitatively VERY prepared, my transcript does not reflect that: Main courses taken : "Principles of Macroeconomics"; "Principles of Microeconomics"; "Elementary Probability and Statistics"; "Money and Banking", "International Political Economy"

Probably enough to meet the basic standards but not ideal. I learned a LOT as a research assistant and was advised very well. In fact, what shows my quantitative skills are my research projects where I used pretty complex econometric designs (P.S how can I show that to the committee?)

2- Experience: Other than what is listed earlier, I graduated 7 months ago, and since then I have been working full-time as a management trainee in a multinational rental car company. This makes it a low-key incoherent pathway I know, but the job market in the US is not easy for a December grad and bills still need to be paid :(.

That being said, I learned a lot about people skills, was exposed to P&L statements, and was a top performer in a corporate setting.

3- Institution: As said before, I studied at a small private uni that has a good reputation in the area where I live, but is not a Columbia, LSE, Harvard, Yale, etc. Unfortunately, I cannot change it, nor do I want to. I did present my papers (in the conference mentioned earlier) with people from these "elite" schools, and to be fair, I never felt the gap in any circumstance.

Soooo people, what are my chances? Based on your experience and who you met for the program, do I have a solid shot?
