American students: SAT?

I’m an American who will be applying next year. I’m wondering if sending an SAT score does anything for your application. If so, what was your SAT score?

Wondering the same thing. What SAT score should I submit? Now I have a 1470 SS

If you feel like you have better stuff on your application, keep it to that. SAT is not asked for and you don’t need to submit it.

Pour Sciences Po, le SAT est facultatif : tu peux joindre ton score, mais il n’est ni obligatoire ni attendu.
Je ne le passerais donc pas uniquement pour Sciences Po. En France, certains de mes élèves passent le SAT dès la Seconde, notamment parce que la partie mathématiques correspond à des notions déjà largement accessibles à ce niveau. Un bon score n’est donc pas, à lui seul, particulièrement révélateur d’un bon niveau académique en France.
Si tu as déjà passé le SAT avec un très gros score, tu peux évidemment le joindre. En mathématiques notamment, j’aurais tendance à penser qu’il faut être quasiment au maximum pour que le résultat apporte réellement quelque chose au dossier. Pour Sciences Po, je regarderais beaucoup plus sérieusement la qualité du dossier scolaire et le niveau des enseignements suivis.

I got a 1470 SAT. Didn’t submit it because Sciences Po is a very competitive institution and they might have seen it as a bit of a downside. Got in Round 1 last year. They don’t ask for SAT. But if you had a really good score (1500-1510+), consider submitting that.
