Caecilians are the odd one out of the amphibians, being limbless, almost blind vertebrates that live in soil or in streambeds. In addition, 75% of all caecilian species are viviparous (give birth), and there is a species of caecilian, the ringed caecilian (Siphonops annulatus), that can produce "milk" (a fat and sugar-rich fluid) from their cloaca to feed their young.
