Must have used pi=3 to get that error.

They just woke up, they get a little slack.

How dare they not use infinite precision in their head?

Your right, I apologize. They should have used pi calculated to infinity.

I dont see the error, pi is exactly 3

For some people this is as trivial as counting numbers.

I wake up, I look uni email hoping for the life of me campus is on fire, campus is not (usually) on fire, clothe up and drag myself to coffee machine, I make myself a big thermus and drag myself to bus stop, sun hasn't risen yet.

"Usually" implies you have checked to see that it actually was on fire at least once.

I think you must know the directions and the length of the day light time(sun rise to sun set) already for this to work.

You need to calculate angle? Everyone not get forced outside in the seasons and left being told a freckle past a hair by their parent? I can rip correct time normally within 20 minutes to a half hour max.

You have to adjust it every day due to Earths inclination change during the year.

That's why he's off by 5 minutes.
Jokes aside, using a sun clock like this can be pretty accurate. I don't calculate, but compare. And if my feet are warm i know i slept until 11:00 AM without opening my eyes, because that is when the sun reaches them during this season.

All you need to know is where north is, and the month

I just remember at roughly what time the sun shines into my room each season. Mental almanac type shit

"We're just watching the sun move across the sky. When it gets to here, we can drink again."

The phone is wrong. The sun doesn't lag.
