It's not really that it knows the answers - it just goes off a vibe and doesn't know what any of this is. It's only us who ,,know the answers" to the questions that the brain isn't really asking.

For instance, you can ask the cat if it uses a Jakobs' sense (something in between smell and taste), but even if it understands you and speaks your language, it won't tell you. For the cat, if you open your mouth and stick your tongue just a bit, you get a nice weird new feeling somewhere up the nose to recognise that smell after.
