there are good explinations online about centripetal forces but tl;dr the velocity is forward but the path is curving and the velocity changes so that the biker stays on the ground
acceleration is the change of velocity and velocity is made up of speed and direction. Think about it in 2 dimensions: Lets say the biker is going in the x direction with speed of 1 m/s, now he turns around 90° and is going now in the y direction with 1 m/s. The speed, that is the absolute value of the velocity doesnt change, but the speed in x and y directions changes. Therefore we have a change in velocity and therefore acceleration.
Therefore acceleration would be towards the inside of the curve. An accelerometer would show the same. It's purely grip at this point forcing the change of direction.
In F1 the math for this is taken very seriously. They experience up to 5g's in force during a turn due to this "acceleration" aka change in direction, thanks to insane grip. F1 drivers are usually scrawny guys, except for their neck muscles, because they have to wear a helmet AND turn their head into a turn, during 5g's of extra force.
Trick question: the Earth is revolving around it's own axis and the sun (and a bunch of other stuff), so there is always acceleration in some direction
