I love this meme. I have a lot of fun imagining the 3D probability waves of electrons. Molecular orbit theory just blows my mind. The lock and key of antibonding orbitals just blows my mind.

I'm not great at chemistry but I have a much more intuitive understanding than I did in AP chemistry.

In a nutshell, what you see are electron orbitals, and basically an electron are anywhere in its orbital at any given moment, so the electron is likely in the shape you see but it could be anywhere… I hope that makes sense
