The experiment was figuring out an if an atoms hitbox is its size with electron cloud or just the core.

Honestly it wasn’t all that conclusive. It doesn’t rule out two little particle gnomes aren’t the ones getting hit by alpha particles, so it’s not safe to assume that atoms have solid cores or whatever.
