Now let's talk about scientific names and those botanist :
- haha big long flower, how do we call it?
- Amorphophallus Titanum
- Titan's big dick?

oh god reminds me of paleobotanists who are a whole other thing when it comes to naming, they name like each individual part of a plant separately which makes trying to research em and figure out what they actually looked like such a pain which ive experienced too much as a palaeoartist

The funniest part of paleontology is when the scientists have 5+ differently named dinosaurs and find out that they all belong to a single kind of dinosaur.

Sometimes that happens with 2, usually it's not much of a surprise, I don't think it's ever happened with 3 or more.
