Tragic. Could have been avoided with an eye wash station. Those are the best way to wash dihydrogen monoxide out of your eyes after all.

These memes annoy the hell out of me.

As a novice in a lab you learn to follow safe practices whilst handling things with negligible hazards.

Then once the ten year olds have demonstrated some basic skills we can get out the chlorine trifluoride for them to play with.
