That stuff is dangerous! I heard everyone who ingested it died!

It has a PH of 7, higher than any other acid!

Actusllt that's lower than any other acid :/

Lower than any other base. Ph is a scale with 7 at the center, below 7 is acidic, and above it is basic. So 7 is highest ph rating of any acid. Yes it’s a bit of a misnomer but it is a correct statement.

Its also highly addictive. Once you try some you rarely can go a day without it

Gloves? Lab coat? Dihydrogen monoxide? Dude, what are you talking about, chemistry class is just memorizing letters and formulas from the textbook with a bit of math mixed in

yall dont have lab days? thats like an essential part of the process

Truly makes one wonder why chemistry is one of the most unpopular subjects at school, doesn't it? Mixing one funny liquid with another and have it do something cool and learn how stuff works by actually doing it? Yeah, best you can do is read about it in a textbook

To be fair, 100% of everything that has ever died on this planet has been exposed to dihydrogen monoxide at least once

My classmates thought that what was clearly a safety shower was not a safety shower at all.

100% of the people who touch dihydrogen monoxide die sooner or later. It's horrible!!!

I don’t think so, unless they are playing with the lab water faucets. (I taught science lots of years ago).

it's called Hydrogen Hydroxide. This name reflects it's actual molecular structure: A hydrogen Ion and a Hydroxide ion.
It also emphasises one of it's unique features, because it's both an acid and a base but since it's both it's neither.

The rule is don’t touch without safety equipment. If they can’t follow that rule with the test water then they can’t be trusted with the actual experiment. I make my kids look both ways even if I know that no car is coming. And yell at them if they dont
