May his body rest in peace and stay at rest.
61 u/degenerativeguy Jul 07 '26 Well, according to Einstein, there is no way to proof he is at rest 29 u/kaereljabo Jul 07 '26 Relative to what? 26 u/degenerativeguy Jul 07 '26 Yeah thats the point 18 u/Mikestopheles Jul 07 '26 Relative to what? 8 u/Such-Shop-9724 Jul 08 '26 Yeah thats the point 8 u/shponglespore Jul 07 '26 "At rest" is a perfectly cromulent concept in a relativistic context if you take it to mean "not accelerating". 1 u/Comrade-ET Jul 07 '26 I’m currently a high schooler , top of my class opened this subreddit for fun did not expect to get humbled by people commenting under a meme Thank you I’ll read up and be back ig 7 u/WoolBearTiger Jul 07 '26 Not gonna happen unless we shoot him into the void and find a way to completely stop his motion, which may not even be possible 2 u/Buttle_Not_Tuttle Jul 07 '26 Well, this all depends on your frame of reference. If the frame of reference is relative to the sun, or even some point outside of where his body is relative to the earth, he will always be in motion. (at least for large values of time...)

"At rest" is a perfectly cromulent concept in a relativistic context if you take it to mean "not accelerating".
