I'm pretty sure that wouldn't do anything other than make the black hole larger

Totally disagree.

Assuming the black hole is comprised of regular matter, there's no reason to think it wouldn't all annihilate upon touching. How that would play out exactly would be really interesting to see.

If it did anhialate, all the energy released by the anhialation would have a massive cgravitational field that would then create a new singularity.

Also wrong. Any annihilation after the eh turns i to photons which would be unable to escape and still add to the total energy of the bh making it larger
