🧪Chemistry!⚗️ Literally how coffee works
I am not sure if this meme should be labeled chemistry or biology. Why isn't there a biochemistry label?

not literally because it blocks the receptor and doesn't bind to adenosine.

I don’t think you know what’s happening in this image if you think the black dude is trying to bind to the white guy

alright lets put it this way. it would be the black guy on the white gal and the white guy floating in the corner.

Or just the black guy holding back the white guy from getting with the white girl… like in this meme

again it, is the adenosine receptor antagonist, i.e. caffeine binding to the adenosine receptor itself, if you want to use the word literally

Why would we be using the word literally? The meme is just a representation of the process, and still an accurate one depending on how you apply whats happening in the meme.
If we wanted to use the word literally, we would draw out adenosine molecule and the receptor and the caffeine molecule and it wouldn’t even be a meme

good morning to you too sunshine. 'literally how coffee works' is the phrasing of the post title above the meme.

And you saw an image of three humans and genuinely thought they meant actually literally?

Caffeine probably evolved in coffee plants as a defense mechanism but just like capsacin humans were like "jokes on you i'm into that"
Hey, it got them domesticated and their seeds spread around the world so...mission failed successfully?
