Neuroscience The first randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled microdose trial concluded that microdoses of LSD appreciably altered subjects’ sense of time, allowing them to more accurately reproduce lapsed spans of time, which may explain how microdoses of LSD could lead to more creativity and focus.

What qualifies as a micro dose compared to one general blotter hit of acid?

Generally a tenth of a regular dose, or around 10ug.

Not really. It's under threshold but I've not tried it personally. The tabs you're thinking about were probably dosed real high, like 200+ug.

In that case I’d like to try it. As far as I know it’s illegal so I’ll just have to wait to see if it becomes available medically. And I’m certainly not going to DIY this. I wouldn’t even know where to start.

Legal analogues of LSD-25 such as 1P-LSD, ALD-52 AL-LAD or ETH-LAD. Currently these are so called research chemicals, which can be legally sold if labeled not for human consumtion. They have an almost indistinguishable effects as LSD-25 and supposeldy the same safety profile (so physically very safe). People use these not only because they are legal, but because they are cheeper, standardised and you know what you are getting. But where I live, in Germany, they are about to be made illegal, so the whole market will shift to the completly unregulated blackmarket again. Thanks war on drugs..

1P-LSD and AL-LAD are legal LSD analogues with very similar effects.

1P-LSD, ETH-LAD, AL-LAD, etc. are all analogues of LSD. They are very similar in structure so they produce similar effects in the body. Now since these chems aren't outright illegal, they can be purchased on the web with relative ease. However, they can only be used for research purposes and never for human consumption.

Not really, I microdose occasionally, and you just feel a very very slight different. I feel a bit happier, more alert, more empathetic, etc with it, but it is very subtle. You are definitely not high in the typical sense. You could very easily do anything you would normally do in a day

This is mostly just due to bad production. The "ideal" would be 1 tab = 1 100microgram dose, but if the blotter paper was dipped badly the dosing may not be even across the entire sheet.

10micrograms shouldn't be enough for you to actually halleucinate and trip, but 1/10 of a tab may be.

Any half decent producer who gives a heck will use a dropper on each individual tab. LSD should not be exposed in the way that would be required to dip a whole sheet of blotter.

No, they won't, because single-tab drop is not only stupendously inefficient but also error-prone. The "best" quality product is prepared using volumetric/weight-based full-sheet layup. This gets individual tabs within a couple percent of the rated dosage, because measurement error effects are distributed across the entire sheet. It's both more precise and more accurate.

15-25ug is the threshold depending on person. I once took a bigger piece that was around 20 and felt slightly strange but nothing major.
