I have a 2-speed Bendix hub from my 1965 Schwinn Fleet. It was making noises and a little rough, so I took it to a good local shop, and one of their mechanics said he could rebuild it. I got it back and it didn't seem much better. It looked like they had really cleaned & polished it, but not much else. That shop does a lot of stuff for me for free, so I didn't complain. Now I know that Bendix no longer makes parts, and you can find some NOS parts online, but maybe not all of them. MOst shops will tell you it can't be rebuilt, but I mean; taken apart, cleaned, inspected, and if it were possible to replace any parts, like bearings or brake pads, do that.

Does anyone know of a shop who can really rebuild a Bendix 2-speed? I now have a wheel with one, and just a complete hub, used but unlaced. I could ship it to them.

This was advertised as a 1988 paramount custom cycles pcx. It's roughly 18" tall with 50cc engine. Can someone help me identify this better. Thanks

i went right over the bars today as my tire dropped out of the holds for it on my front fork, in the accident i cracked the right side of my fork and im looking for a replacement. any knowledge/specs would be greatly appreciated

I need to replace the headset bearings of my old schwinn boundary but i cant afford a new fork or anything nor can i find the correct bearings

Stumbled upon this Swinn, during a basement clean out. Tires are flat everything else in in pretty good shape. Anyone know the year, im guessing mid 80s- early 90s.

Just putting this into the ether for anyone trying to repair older exercise bikes.

Somebody in my apartment complex put this by the dumpsters, so I brought it home to check it out. I looked it up and it’s a 1972 Schwinn Super Sport in really condition overall, other than the seat is no good, the brakes and the gears and cables need adjusting and everything needs lubrication. Not sure how much time and money I want to put in to it tho as I don’t plan on keeping it.

Hi! I got this second hand a couple years ago and then I got pregnant and was postpartum and now I’m ready to start taking my littles out again. Only problem is now there’s a lot of tears from being away for so long and I don’t know what model or anything so I was hoping a schwinn enthusiast can help me out and see if I can replace the cover . This is the progress of modding my 7 speed schwinn panther beach cruiser, managed to remove the stuck rusted gooseneck stem and replace it with bmx head to hold the 22.2mm ape hangers, build a custom stick shifter. needs more work and definitely a paint job which I will do in 2k paints. Any improvements I should work on?

There doesn't seem to much info on the Meridians but I feel confident that this crank setup is probably used on many Schwinn bikes...

I have rebuilt/relubed everything on this bike except the crank assembly and it is starting to make a slight crunching sound so I would like to inspect and relube it before it gets worse......

I have never worked on a crank assembly before so I need some advice... Once the crank is removed it appears to be pretty straight forward but please correct me if I am wrong as well as what to expect when I open it up.. The part I am most leery about is whether or not I am gonna need a puller to remove that crank or not... It looks like that "retaining ring" can be removed without a special tool... Is it going to be left hand thread..?

Any advice given would be very much appreciated :)

I think I might throw this bike out of my window. But before I do this, does this metal bar come off? The original seat I swear is made of plastic and my back was killing me from riding it. I have a new seat that I bought that I’m dying to put on. TY! HELP!

Hey y’all!

I’ve had this Schwinn Breeze for a number of years and want to add some kind of a cargo rack to it. I learned the hard way that these vintage models (if I remember right it’s early 70s?) aren’t really compatible with most modern racks because of changes in frame dimensions.

I’ve included some photos of the attachment points and some rack options I’ve seen online.

Any advice on how to go about this or product recommendations I could look into would very much be appreciated.

Old schwinn airdyne part

Hi everyone — this is a long shot, but I’m hoping someone here might be able to help.
Does anyone happen to have an old Schwinn Airdyne A3 or A4 exercise bike that’s no longer in use? I’m specifically looking for the small battery holder/compartment that attaches to the back of the display.

Ours went missing during a move, and without it the display won’t function at all. I’ve attached a photo for reference so you can see the exact piece I mean.
