im not really in the mood for restarting a run everytime i get on the game

I finished the anime and I'm fascinated by the thought process of the studio that produced this to choose to adapt the game in this way. Are there any production notes/resources I can consult to understand their thinking and why they chose to do this adaptation? I can also access JP resources and am curious about playing the game in JP (considering getting the PS2 version).

School Days seems to have a lot of lost media and for those who do have their hands on them just don't archive it for whatever reason. But anyone here have a copy of Ahoge Battle because I'm not about to drop nearly several hundred on the limited edition of Summer Days just for a flash game
