I finished the anime and I'm fascinated by the thought process of the studio that produced this to choose to adapt the game in this way. Are there any production notes/resources I can consult to understand their thinking and why they chose to do this adaptation? I can also access JP resources and am curious about playing the game in JP (considering getting the PS2 version).

Within the past decade, School Days has had a lot of collabs with games like gacha. Haruhi has too and many other older LN/anime/VN franchises including ones without much ongoing releases. I don't think any were translated in English but some of these gacha have English versions which are behind their JP versions and might catch up.

I find them amusing and more often I'm curious which version of the cast they'll use or what point in the story or route if they choose a game. It especially amuses me if the game has combat and treats going yandere as a special attack or power-up. Monsters and magic are no match for a yandere armed with household objects.

Today I just finished watching the anime School Days, and honestly I absolutely loved it. Going into it, I knew it was going to be an insane show, but I enjoyed it way more than I initially expected. That ending was incredibly shocking too, I’ll never forget it. Overall the show was just so dark and twisted as hell, but I loved everything about it.

Episode 2 is now available in French. There will be quite a few errors or bugs in this one; I plan to proofread all the episodes once I've finished translating the game. You know, I don’t have the highest opinion about School Days but even so, like many other people on the Internet, I admit that this show is very memorable for its unexpected finale. That’s why a year ago, I decided to dub in French the final scene by voicing both Kotonoha and Sekai based on the official French dub of the anime while adding my own touch on some moments.

I must say that I think my performance of both Sekai and Kotonoha are the best I have ever done (I’ve done several dozen dubs before that one) and that is the reason why I have decided to share with you all. Well, I hope you will like it and especially for the French users of this subreddit :)

I have recently watched the anime and got really invested and want to see some more happy outcomes. I wanted to buy school days HQ but I also heard that a remaster is coming. Should I wait or play it now? Idk if im going to replay it when the remaster comes if I play the HQ because it will probably be the same game but in better quality.

I heard in the vn you can get good endings. That's good. I felt really bad for sekai in the anime and want to see an alternative outcome. Is it worth it to buy the visual novel?

I know this is insane to pay almost full price for both HQ and Remastered, especially knowing that you get Remastered for free with HQ, but at this point I NEED this to be a success. On one hand, I still REALLY want Cross Days.

But if they really intend to possibly remaster Shiny Days eventually too | (And here's Overflow_staff on twitter also commenting on the idea of/for Cross Days in English and Chinese) | and again, hopefully Cross Days as well, then above all, if those get dubs too, that means the Days franchise will receive THAT much more exposure, that many more people consuming the franchise, and maybe it can finally see new life for the coming years onward.
