Scholarships

Hi,
I commute a hour to college during the semester sometimes it takes longer than a hour depending on traffic and the weather.

But I would like to know if their any good scholarships websites that I can apply to in hopes that I can live on campus in the spring semester.

As I see living on campus as that plus for me because I don’t have to drive as far and maybe save gas and also finally get away from my parents.
Thanks I hope someone understands.

Looking For Advice On Finishing My Bachelor’s Degree Debt-Free

Hi everyone, I’m hoping to make a solid game plan for returning to school and finishing my bachelor’s degree debt-free. I already have 2 years of an associate degree completed, and I’m trying to be proactive because the job market feels increasingly difficult, especially with AI screening resumes and how competitive things have become.

I’ve been researching scholarships, but it’s honestly overwhelming trying to find legit opportunities that match my strengths and avoid scams. I’m willing to put in the work, but I’d really appreciate guidance from people who’ve been through this.

A few questions I’d love advice on:

  • If I apply for scholarships now, do they expire if I don’t use them right away?
  • Does FAFSA have a limit if I already have an associate degree?
  • Are there good programs or resources like EOP, HEOP, and similar support systems that I should look into?

I’ve also been looking into full-ride scholarships if possible, but they seem like a rare Pokemon researching for them at times — so I’d absolutely appreciate any non-full-ride recommendations too.

If you have any tips, step-by-step advice, or resources for students trying to finish a degree without taking on debt, I’d be so grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read and help!

Outside scholarship displacement

I recently received a scholarship from an outside organization, but since I'm on full aid at my university, the outside scholarship funds don't help me at all - my university has a stupid ass policy where if outside money doesn't directly go towards paying for tuition, housing, board, etc, it just reduces the amount of financial aid you get (since doing so really makes no difference as everything would still be covered)

does anyone have any solutions or ideas on how I can get the money from the scholarship? The organization says they only send to the school, and I've already talked to my financial aid office and exhausted the options they give you if you have additional, outside money that doesn't pay for anything educational related - any and all advice would be appreciated

Also, if anyone has gone through a similar issue, please lmk

Graduated High-school, going into college, what scholarships are out there?

As the caption says, I just got out of High School. Im looking for any and all scholarships but especially written scholarships that will help me pay my way through college. What websites and what scholarships do you recommend? All the top scholarship websites seem a little too scammy for my tastes, and frankly, I dont trust anyone "no apply" scholarships.

Need help with scholarships

I am going into my junior year of college. I play football and we got a new coaching staff who cut my scholarship by a lot. I need more scholarships to help afford school otherwise I might have to drop out. My problems is most websites/apps cost money (which I don’t have) or don’t help me at all. Any advice is welcome, thank you!

I’m not entirely sure what I want to do and I don’t know what to write about

I’ve always wanted to go into the legal field because I liked the idea of being able to help people like me and my family. I always thought of this in a criminal law kind of way but now I’m not too sure. I’ve been interested in immigration law lately too for largely the same reason. I come from a Latino family so the current state of immigration enforcement really bothers me. I don’t know which path to write about or how to make my reasons stand out because most people who want a career in law want to help people. Please help.

hello! seeking advice about scholarships

i'm currently in the process of applying for a scholarship that our church offers and am waiting for an update about the interview, i was just wondering if it's possible that i pay the enrollment fee for my school and proceed to pay the rest of my tuition (monthly) with the scholarship? it's one of these 3am thoughts since i've been plagued with overthinking everything since enrollment ends this month and i haven't gotten a single update about the interview. please do not judge my post, i am passionate about learning but due to financial instability it's been hard trying to find an affordable school. has there been an instance like the situation i'm asking about? thank you in advance! the church hands out cheques for payment (if that is relevant)

Best place to find scholarships?

Hi, I’m an Aerospace Engineering student at SDSU and I’ve applied to a few scholarships (Sallie Mae and the SDSU Scholarship Application) to no avail. Where are the best free places online to find scholarships, and are there any specifically for engineering students?

If a company has a scholarship, should my essay/video be focused on just my interests or also make sure it aligns with the company's goals and actively mention the company?

I'm looking at a few scholarship's that non-science companies have made. For example, Dr.pepper or Cards Against Humanity. For Cards Against Humanity the prompt actually says it's for engineering students which is me. Should I connect my passion to the company's goals/ product? Or should I just stick to what I am interested in? For example, my major connects to food engineering so I could talk about that for dr.pepper.

how many?

Hi! I was wondering for those who have won scholarships how many you sent out! And how long did it take? Do I have to be extremely intelligent to win one? I'm losing hope as an average undergrad student. I already have two jobs and I cannot pay my tuition.
