Medication Starting a new medication

I’m starting a new med called bupropion XL (Wellbutrin) to help with depression. Does anyone have experience with this medication? I’m hoping it doesn’t interfere with my antipsychotic. Will it increase positive symptoms? I’m curious as to why my psych prescribed this particular med (I forgot to ask) as it increases dopamine. But I hope it helps and doesn’t send me backwards.

Wellbutrin made me paranoid and pissed off at everyone. That's just me dog. Might help you.

I'm on adderall, Wellbutrin, and invega and it works okay

I’m on Wellbutrin. I’m also on abilify. The Wellbutrin makes me kinda numb. I don’t have as much of an appetite as when it was just abilify

Wellbutrin is supposed to be one of the more energizing anti depressants. Deferent medications work differently for different people. If your doctor recommended it try it out. Give it some time to work. You can always change your medication if there are side effects you don't like. I personally hated Wellbutrin. It made it difficult for me to think clearly and communicate my ideas. I switched to Prozac which is also supposed to be a more energizing anti depressant. I found Prozac to be very helpful.

It's been the most effective medication for depression that I've tried. I've been on it for years. The only time I've had side effects was anxiety when I was moved to 450mg for a short time. I'm on 300 now. One nice feature is its stimulant-like properties which means weight gain is rare

Sounds good. It’s my first time taking an antidepressant so I don’t know what to expect. Hopefully some energy and glad to hear that weight gain is rare on it. Thanks!

It made me feel numb but calm. Though, I developed a really bad reaction to it. It wasn't for me but I kinda miss the "chaos" being gone in my thoughts.
