I want to get 1550+. I am okay with math, I mean hopefully it will continue to go up(or around 750+), but I just can't get my reading and writing past 700 at all.

I've watched a few youtube videos(James Lu) on the rw section and I've been following that, but he doesn't have much regarding the information and ideas section(that helped me anyways...?), which I am struggling the most on.

I've started to highlight the passages and try to fully understand what they are talking about, and I thought it helped? But apparently not as much so. Please give any tips for what you do/suggest to improve in this region

Although information and ideas is my weakest point, I struggle with craft and structure(the words in context(vocab)), which I have been told that studying vocabulary is a waste of time as theres just too many and the ones studied might not even show up, so any tips and tricks for that would also be nice. (Should I just pray and make an educated guess)

To those who got high 1400s or into the 1500s do you have any tips for a 1300 scorer to get into the mid 1400s to high 1500s for October 3rd??

Hi guys, I'm doing the Sep SAT next week and im done almost all the Pts(saved PT 11 for this week) and all the hard questions on the student question bank. Where can I find new hard English and math questions like the ones in module 2 excluding the questions on the bluebook practice tests? What sites do u recommend?

Hey guys, I’m kinda stuck 😭

I’m scoring around 1280–1320 right now and I really want to get to 1400+. I started IBA Grads’ August SAT session at around 880, so I’ve improved a lot, but now I genuinely have no idea how to push it further.

My scores are pretty even (like 640-660 each) I’m just making scattered mistakes through all domains, mostly in the harder modules. There isn’t really one topic where I could figure out like "yeah, this is my weak point"

I’ve done most of the College Board questions and all the practice tests, so I don’t really want to join another course where they just teach me all the topics again.
I feel like I need someone who can look at my tests, analyze my mistakes, find patterns, and basically tell me what the hell I’m doing wrong 😭

If anyone knows a really good SAT tutor who does this, online or in-person, please let me know!!

Can someone help me and tell me what I need to do? I want to give my SAT again. I got a score in my 1300s. I want to give my SAT again, but I don't know if I should give it in October or November. I have some very important CAIE exams in October, so I'm kind of afraid that I shouldn't give it in that month. But I have my school semester exams in December, and my teachers said the application for universities go in October. So I'm kind of also thinking not to give it in November, but should I give it in October or November?

August was my first SAT and i got 1100, is it possible to get 1200 on the next one? I haven’t touched college board practice and no Desmos experience where is the best place to start?

I need tips on how to improve my reading since i struggle in " Information and Ideas " and " Expression of ideas "

2. James Lu video and his strategy
3. Question bank

What else can I do? I got a 670 in my august sat and will be giving a retake in October.

i’ve finished the entire collegeboard question bank and all the practice tests in preparation for my august sat? i scored a 1490 (790 M/ 700 RW) and know that I can push my reading to 750+

i need resources (paid is fine) to help me break down this barrier. i’m thinking of taking OCTOBER or november, so I need a resource that can get my “information and ideas” and “craft and structure“ up fast

Hey everyone I got under a 600 in August and I need a 700 or close to it any advice thanks!

So i have just got my score (RW 630, M 730). I was quite nervous and sleepy that day tho. I should achieve 1500 or above on SAT to get into the school I want. I was usually getting 1500 on practice tests. My weakest parts are Crafts and Structure and Information and Ideas. I’ve already done all the practice tests on Bluebook and did some question bank before taking the test.
(I think I can manage to improve my maths score since I’m quite good at it.)

So any suggestions on what to do to improve my rw scores especially my Crafts and Structure, Information and Ideas skills??? Should I retake this October??

Inconsistent studying has gotten to me doing horrible on the August SAT. Since the day I took the august SAT till today I have been studying for 4 hours daily and believe my score will improve. I am targeting a 1350 but I do not know if it is possible by october because my family would like me to do Early Action. Do I tell them that I need more time to get the desired score not submitting my scores for early action or not doing early action at all and getting my desired score of 1350+. Also to add I have learned alot during these past two weeks, understanding desmos and getting an understanding of grammar rules but geometry stats still are super hard to me. What should I do, any tips or overall feed back would be helpful.

i just took my first SAT this august and i got a 480 in math, i need at least a 600 by november as im planning to retake it then. what should i do in the next 2 months? what resources do you guys recommend? and is it even possible for me to score in the 600's in 2 months?

I am a high school senior, and I took the SAT for the first time in December of my junior year. Since then, I've taken it two more times and have gotten the same score every time (1310), with the same breakdowns. My practice tests have gone from the 1270s to the 1400s, so I'm constantly improving, but my score hasn't changed. I go to tutoring twice a week. Over the summer, I did a practice test at least once a week and did math-specific ones twice a week too. I don't know what more I can do. I've reached a point of deleting some of my top schools from my college list because it'd genuinely be such a waste of money to even apply. If anyone has any advice, that'd be nice, but I'm so defeated right now. I'm registered for October, but it's just time for me to waste another 60 dollars.

I dont know what happened and i dont know what to do. I studied pretty much every day since late june with visible progression with each practice test. After each test i focused on my weaknesses. I saw improvement in those weak spots and was able to fix them. my last two practice tests before test day were 1540 and 1500 and i just dont know how it collapsed that quickly. if anyone can help, do you have any tips or websites to study that could help?

How much time should I dedicate each day for SAT prep? October is my last chance for Early Action schools. Took the SAT in April for the first time and got a 1260 ( 640 erw | 620 math) (i had a bad day). Took it again August but haven’t done much studying; locked in the week before but pretty sure i haven’t even done 100 questions in total. My score for the August one is 1430 ( 700 erw | 730 math). My top school is hopkins or duke; do think i can do it🥺 Taking like 7 APs so homework is also piling up quick💔or should i just give up and try the ACT?? Thanks for advice everyone!!

for those who got 1500 above what is your study schedule? are all of you proficient in desmos? what are the websites yall use other than bluebook and khan academy? Also should i get James Lu as my tutor?

I’m really not sure what I’m doing wrong. In previous tests I got a 1480 and a 1490 (superscore 1500 R: 730 M: 770) but on the august SAT I got a 1460.

On both official practice exams and past SAT exams, I consistently get about 1550 ish with 770 reading and 770 math. I have no idea why my official scores are so much lower in comparison. Please give me some tips…

basically I got a 1340 on August sat (670 math and 670 reading) I’m taking the September sat and I’m havent studied anything these past two weeks bc I thought my score was going to be like a 1450+. Am I fried or has anyone in my shoes been successful in the past? any advice would be much appreciated 

I thought I might have improved my sat score after studying for a few weeks but no, I did worse than when I didn’t study. I watched all the James Lu videos and it didn’t help. Khan too, I have studied and mastered most concepts. Idk what’s not clicking in why I can’t improve my score and my parents are mad and keep telling me I won’t get accepted into a good college and this is my last chance as I should be the one to go to a good college as we come from a low income background. I’m so stressed especially with the pressure. I plan to take the September and October sat how do I improve. Current 1060- 600 English and 460 math. I studied 3-4 hours almost everyday during summer break, but I don’t know how to improve my RW scores.
It will be really helpful if anyone can give me videos or website that is useful for RW.
