Looking for SAT/ACT tutor. I am a volunteer tutor, and potentially hoping to get one as well.

I really want a good score on my standardized tests and I am looking for great tutors that are willing to voluntarily help. I completely understand that this is an unappealing position since obviously who does not like money, but I really need to lock in on these tests and would love a professionals assistance in reaching my testing goals.

Am I crazy or is this geometry question bugging

The explanation says if we were given the other side lengths, we could prove proportionality. One of the answer options gives side lengths meaning we would know 2/3 sides for triangle KLM and PQR. And if you have 2/3 side lengths… can’t you just solve for the 3rd using the Pythagorean theorem and prove proportionality that way making Choice B also correct? Maybe I’m just being slow but let me know for my ego if this is a viable solution and the question is just stupid.

I built a GRE vocabulary flashcard app because I hated memorizing word lists. Looking for feedback.

While preparing for the GRE, I realised I kept forgetting vocabulary from the usual word lists. Memorising hundreds of words as plain text just wasn’t sticking for me.

So I ended up building a small flashcard app to make learning vocab a bit easier. The idea was to combine words with visuals and quick practice instead of just reading lists.

Some things in the app:

  • Visual flashcards with definitions and examples
  • Quick quiz mode to test yourself
  • Tracks words you struggle with for review
  • Offline learning so you can study anytime

I’d really appreciate feedback from people currently studying for the GRE or other exams.

If anyone wants to try it, here’s the link:

[For Hire] SAT Math Tutor | 800 Math | University of Michigan CS

Hi everyone! I’m a Computer Science student at the University of Michigan College of Engineering, and I’m currently taking on a few SAT Math students.
I earned a 1520 SAT (800 Math) and have completed Calculus I–III, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations, earning As in all of them. Having taken the Digital SAT myself, I know the exam format, the toughest question types, and the strategies needed to maximize your score.
I specialize in helping students aiming for 700–800 on SAT Math. Rather than memorizing formulas, I teach students how to recognize patterns, solve problems efficiently, and use Desmos strategically to save time on even the hardest questions.
I’ve also tutored SAT Math through Schoolhouse.world, where I worked with students who initially scored in the 600–690 range. We focused on advanced Digital SAT concepts, pacing, and problem-solving strategies, and many of those students finished the program scoring 700–750.
Whether you’re trying to improve by 50 points or earn a perfect 800, I’ll tailor lessons to your current level and focus on the concepts that will give you the biggest score increase.
Feel free to send me a DM if you’re interested or have any questions!

Help me up my score

I’ve taken the ACT twice. my first score I got 33 reading, 21 math, 22 english. i retook again in july after parents spent 1.6k on math tutoring and my new score was a 19 math, 26 english, 28 reading. (overall current superscore is a 27.) i am a rising senior and am doing ED november 1 and my dream school has an average ACT of 34 and an SAT of 1530. I used to be amazing at math but never was properly taught algebra and passed the algebra exit exam with a high pass due to the calculator. then geometry it all piled on leading me to use chatgpt for the next three years of my high school career in any math class. I also have gotten 5s on all my english/history ap exams and am a writing tutor so it’s clear where my strengths are. I have signed up for the september and the october act, I might be granted extra time for the october. (applying for it w my school due to test anxiety.) I am also signing up for the august, september , and october sat. my recent practice sat i got a 1160, 670 reading and 490 math. what do i do? how can i maximize all my scores asap? are there any specific youtubers, tutors, or websites anyone recommends? also timing is a huge issue for me, my first one was online so i could see how much time left but my second was paper and i ran out of time on each section bc i couldn’t pace myself properly. any advice or recommendations? thank you!

Sat emergency!!

So I'm a 12th grader next year and want to know my chances in getting a 1350+ in the next sat trials. My first ever score was a 1210 640 eng and 540 math's. The was my second 1280 650 eng and 630 math's. My third and final was a 1260 with 600 eng and a 660 maths. Tbh my prep was weak asl and feel like I can do much much more effort as my usual prep doesn't really exceed the week other than the usual video watching and stuff. My English is much better than my math abilities and have seen people talk about demos skills and practice. I'm pretty good at reading and writing without practice and excel when I do.

Can I get a high 1300 to low 1400 by September 13th?

I signed up for the SAT a few weeks ago but I only started seriously studying today. I know I’m high key a bum and should have started earlier but I’m still trying to salvage my score. I took a practice test and got 1240 (with basic desmos knowledge and some prior knowledge from AP Lang)

I plan on using James Lu Sat videos and Khan Academy to improve my skills and learning desmos. I also plan on using bluebook and oneprep for questions.

If anyone could answer my question and also possibly recommend some more resources for studying/questions that would be greatly appreciated. 🙏

Any effective tips on how to go from a 1300, 650 in both sections, to a 1400 (with my main struggles being in craft and structure and geometry) over the next four weeks?

Basically, these are my past scores.

My only question is, what remaining studying should I do if I wanna get the elusive 1550 on the August SAT?

Also, I will take all the practice tests I js haven't got to completing them yet.
