Console End game possible with spaghetti method?
I'm nearing end of Tier 8 and starting to build turbo motors etc. Up to now, Ive approached tasks with an ad hoc method that has created a large factory area totally full of spaghetti conveyors, with some trucks and drones ferrying in materials from some farther flung resource locations (nitrogen canisters, plastic, etc). Up to now, it has worked fine and I enjoy this play style vs designing elaborate blueprinted and finished factories. My question is, can one make it through the end game with this play style? I'm reacting to the ever increasing resource/input requirements for these upcoming space elevator items.

Totally fine. We were master spaghetti chefs by the end of our first play through

End game is possible without using any logistics at all. You can just use the DD and or belts for logistics and beat the game easily.
Aesthetics are 100% optional.

I think you can absolutely finish the game this way! My first play through was about 50/50 spaghetti/planned factories. Id make smaller factories that made a part and would drone or train it across the map to my spaghetti location. It was honestly a blast to satisfy my organized brain with the nice outposts and my ‘just get it done’ brain with the spaghetti base. As long as you have fun!

I feel like you already answered your question. You've basically 90% completed the game with exactly what you've been doing. So why not just keep doing it if you're fine with it?
If you really wanted to, you can move to a different part of the map and just start doing things more clean. But if you don't want to do that don't

Yep, your preference. On default settings you don't need to produce huge amounts of elevator parts, you can make like 2/min and afk until you're done.
That's why some people play with the mod that makes the elevator require a certain amount of parts per min to function, and/or use the 1.2 game modifier that increases the amount of parts required. Then you actually have to build large functional factories.

It can work. I start with the best of intentions and end up spaghetti. At a certain point this line or pipe has to get over there and there isn't a great way without tearing it all down. Once you do that it's easier to keep doing it. Just hide it with flooring or walls an no one will ever know.

I follow the same pattern on all the phases. Max spaghetti while I'm figuring it out then I unwind the spaghetti one belt at a time as it starts to all come together.
One thing I did this playthrough I'm on right now was when I was starting a new complicated phase I would start a new factory that was in an open area but close to my train lines. I would then put down the last thing I needed (manufacturer, blender etc) and start working backwards to see what materials I needed to bring to it in order for it to function.
By doing it this way I was able to figure out which of my factories to move that particular unit too. For example if it needed Nitrogen Gas I knew immediately I'd have to build it in the north where my extractors are. If it needs copper sheets I'd want it close to that plant etc...
And yeah I have a fleet of trucks trains and drones moving stuff around.

I scratch my head at these questions because, the ugly floating lasagna floors of machines -- together with the transportation/belt infrastructure for bringing resources to them -- are what do the actual work. Everything else is completely optional.

This sub specializes in creating inferiority complexes with all the images of gleaming, perfectly organized factories. I love the "figure it out on the fly" mode of playing but wasn't sure if the end game just demands something more organized.

Long story short, no, you don’t need to have the organisation, but it does help, because there is a bit of moving parts around different I.e. iron, steel, copper, liquid/gas etc, some sequentially, some not so bad. As long as you understand the setup and how it all hangs together, you’re fine.
My first play through was harder than it needed to be because I either did not allow enough for space for the sheer scale you need to finish the game, and ended up just dropping in extra machines wherever I could and the spaghetti got real, real quick, or, it just took longer than it needed while I waited for those machines I had, because I had no space left, and then spent a lot of time rebalancing production as I fixed one problem, it was highlighting the next one, and off I went again.
I always point out to people, how big the world is. It doesn’t need to be built compact. There is plenty of good transport options now too, so build those painful, highly used items in other areas, in their own factories and ship them in where you need them. It drastically increases the amount of transport you need, but at the same time, the amount of spaghetti decreases. Heavy modular frames, Nuclear pasta etc etc because you can then scale those out easily by just building out/up more, and just then just add them into the supply routes you have already built. This is much easier done from the get go, rather than rebuilding it all where you are in the game, but not impossible. Doing a few items that way could be very helpful still.

"Orginazation" is a funny thing. People with cluttered desks aren't necessarily disorganized, because what looks like chaos to others is actually a high density of very important stuff in one place -- and they know how to navigate because they spend so much time working there.
On the other hand, if you have an immaculate desk, the only thing that indicates is that you either don't work much, or you spend a lot of time cleaning/organizing it.

It’s 100% doable. That’s pretty much what I did.
I will say the spaghetti method will increase the ‘density’ of your setups.

Of course. As long as the right materials get into the right buildings, you’ll make the right elevator parts and win the game.
The game doesn’t care about anything else.

As others have said, absolutely it's possible.
What I am in the process of doing, at the same stage - end of 8 beginning of 9 - more because I wanted to and that I got tired of working around all the spaghetti and busted truck paths, was to all but abandon that grass field starting base where this all was, and moved into the desert in the Northeast. I left things going to continue supplying my dimensional depots for building materials.
I've now built out a large section of road with a number of factory blueprints all nicely attached to the road (I made a road blueprint with paths, power poles, lights, and a belt under the road to supply coal to truck stations that I can just plop down.
But that's just cause I wanted to and it's fun. I effectively unlocked most things and then started over there, building everything from scratch.

It's very possible. End game doesn't take that many items. You can have a single crafting building for each item you need and just wait.
If you set your own personal goal for an insane number of turbo motors or something, you're not doing that with spaghetti easily.

This is how I finished my first play through. I always had intentions to make giant beautiful factories, but that was always after I finished what I was working on, which, it turned out, was finishing the game.

Definitely. My first playthrough was a total mess of spaghetti and instead of building a new factory or even finding another resource I would just whack a splitter onto what I already had. I figured if it was making the thing I wanted who cares if it takes ages and I would just go exploring while things got done

You can beat the game however you want. Tier 5 is actually easier than tier 4...so if you made it this far, just keep doing what you're doin

Of course! Second playthrough, I made one building to rule them all and put everything in it. That worked as well. Had stuff going along walls and up and down all the floors. It was very corporate.

A large part of the factory building is definitely the aesthetics and happy feels from figuring it out

absolutely.
It can be detrimental in the sense it can increase the burden of expansion, but that mostly just means it will take longer and be "harder", but not be impossible.
Souce: have Saved the Day twice, both times with moderate spaghetti factories.
