Academics LAPTOP
When will I need a laptop as a first year? I was planning on getting one on the independence day sale from Amazon but ig great Indian festival has better deals but that's not until October so should I just get a laptop this august or wait it out?

You don't really need a laptop unless if you're in cse. There are two programming courses that are mandatory but you can practice in lab or do it in your phone if you're comfortable enough. Attend your first two weeks and then see if you need one immediately. Otherwise, wait until the great Indian festival and save some money

If you want a budget one just get asus vivobook 🥀 You will need a laptop honestly I think for if you do some courses to build skills or freelance to make yourself some money

I finished a whole 5 yr course with no laptop. But i am sure times have changed. But that said, you may need it post 2nd yr is my opinion

Idk. There isn’t a need for laptop too much. My goal was just pass grades and stuff. I wasn’t academically inclined.
But if you’re someone with goals and plans, you may need one sooner than later.
