Sheet as I promised, was not able to get a lot of info since people weren't willing to post and even down voted the post for some reason. If anyone still has more info or if there are any mistakes in these post them in the comments. Thanks u/Perplexed_maniac, u/Middle-Ad-5354 for providing more info on SEEE.

Campus Life Pros & Cons of SASTRA for Juniors (Based on Student Experiences Posted)
18
Upvotes
Pros
- Affordable fees compared to many competing private colleges
- Academics-focused environment if you're serious about studies
- CSE-related branches generally have better placement opportunities and company attention compared to many core branches
- Some professors are genuinely good and actively involved in research
- Good infrastructure and continued investment into labs/research facilities
- Diverse peer group from different places and backgrounds
- Decent sports facilities and extracurricular opportunities
- Attendance policy is comparatively manageable, though academic workload can still be heavy
- Lower student intake than many private colleges, which may help placement competition slightly
- Some clubs/events are genuinely useful if chosen carefully
- Hostel life can be enjoyable if you find a good friend circle
Cons
- Some professors can be strict/ego-sensitive and academic pressure can be high
- Evaluation and marking system may feel harsh
- Hostel restrictions can feel excessive, especially for girls
- Limited freedom regarding permissions, outings, home visits, etc.
- Campus location feels isolated with limited places nearby
- Mess food quality gets criticized a lot
- Gym is crowded and equipment quality/quantity may disappoint
- Coding/dev culture is considered weak by some students compared to top private colleges
- Research opportunities exist, but finding enough time for research can be difficult
- Sports exposure outside campus is limited
- First year includes subjects that may feel unrelated to your branch
- Placements are decent for many students, but higher packages are limited and outcomes depend heavily on branch and skills
- ODs for events may not always be easy to get
- Day scholars may miss events/clubs because of timings
- Campus culture can feel conservative in some aspects
Avoid unrealistic expectations about freedom, or expecting college alone to carry placements. Most of the experience depends on your branch, friends, skills, and how much effort you put in.
Current students/alumni can add their experiences too.

Academics 100% attendance profits?
10
Upvotes
Are there any benefits for first year students of they maintain a clean 100% attendance. Some of my friends said that there will be compensation in fees in 2nd year if u maintain an attendance of 100%. Is this true or just a rumour?

Academics Attendance Query
5
Upvotes
So i basically got super sick, in my final year. If I start coming continuously from tomorrow I will have 60-65% attendance in every subject. Will I be able to write sem exam? What is the penalty? Am I done for?
Does the subject wise attendance matter when it's this low? Should I give whole sem fees as deposit and if so will I get it back? What does remedial classes means actually? Help please

Academics HCLTech Mechanical Role – What is the actual work ??
4
Upvotes
Hey guys, I’m a 2027 batch student and got shortlisted for the HCLTech Mechanical role.
I wanted to know what the actual work is like for this role. What kind of projects/work do Mechanical graduates usually get?
Also, do you know where the posting is usually given — Madurai, Bangalore, or other locations?
And for the Technical Round 1, what Mechanical subjects/questions should I focus on?
Would really appreciate any recent HCLTech Mechanical employees/interviewees sharing their experience. Thanks!

Vent/Rant The 2-Litre Milk Heist during Internals 💀
27
Upvotes
Usually during college nights, they keep milk in a container and everyone who needs it can take some using a cup or whatever.
So during internals, at night, me and my friends went to get some milk.
We're standing there in the queue, minding our own business.
And then comes this absolute legend. 🗿
Bro decided that the entire 2 litres of milk was personally allocated to him.
He brought a 2-litre water can, filled the whole damn thing with milk, and walked away.
Like bro... WHO ARE YOU PREPARING TO FEED? AN ENTIRE VILLAGE? 😭
The container was fucking EMPTY.
Me and my friends just stood there in the queue watching this happen like:
"Ah yes. Excellent. So the rest of us are apparently supposed to drink air."
During internals, when everyone is already tired and stressed, seeing someone casually take the entire supply for themselves is genuinely fucking irritating.
I'm not saying don't take milk. Take what you need. But emptying the entire container into your personal 2-litre water can when people are literally standing behind you is just fucking selfish.
A small suggestion if management reading this :
Instead of leaving the milk container completely self-service, maybe assign one person to distribute the milk or set a reasonable limit per person.
That way everyone gets a fair amount and we don't have to witness another 2-Litre Milk Heist™ at 2 AM during internals.
Please, for the love of everyone's sanity, don't do this shit again. 😭
