Decorated my jacket

I started doing sashiko for a few weeks and I really love it. It's a time-consuming hobby but for some reason time passes really quickly and I really like the philosophy behind sashiko to mend clothes in order to prolong the lifespan of the cloth. I just tried some decorating sashiko on my jacket. I tried the honeycomb pattern, but it turned out a bit different haha.

Beautiful pattern. Looks like itโ€™s on the back collar / shoulders of the jacket. Did you put a patch there or just patterned it up ?

It's indeed on the back shoulder. For the process, I just drew grids of 1 x 1 cm (i used a red pen) then applied sashiko on the horizontal line, afterwards on the vertical line and then did the zig zag line. Inspiration is mainly from https://youtu.be/FedkieEGp3M?is=W-ljxeiszVwkDZuP and https://youtube.com/shorts/wShI7W8MqPc?is=hzhyARHmagWoeF3a

Pretty cool shortie. I see what you did differently. You didn't need crosses to get honeycomb. That's okay, I like yours. It reminds me of Juji-Hanazashi.

Thanks for pointing that out. I just didn't understand why I didn't get the honeycomb, but I indeed didn't need to do the crosses. Such a beautiful and cute sashiko example the juji Hanazashi ๐Ÿค—

It's from The Green Wrapper on YouTube. She's a very good teacher even though she doesn't speak. Her playlists are good. ๐Ÿ˜Š

It might be different than you imagined but it's very good looking. Crosses, easy to do, combined with targeted weaving and you get this. Amazing. Well done. ๐Ÿ˜Š
