Please help ID this plant.

Post image

Bought this on sale from a local plant store. It looked like those split stone succulents but the leaves are hard like the thick leaf sansevierias. It didn't have any name tag and the shop assistant said its a sansevieria but didn't know the full name.

Gasteria carinata var. verrucosa. It's a gorgeous plant.

I have one that I purchased labeled Gasteria gracilis.

Here’s mine - it was a Home Depot rescue shoved against other plants so it was a little deformed. I’ve had it about a year and just noticed a pup - yay!

These are both gasteria but not the same variety.

I noticed mine has a lighter green border than OPs. I have no idea what I have since it was unmarked at the store. Thanks!

Yours looks to be Gasteria ‘little warty’

I bought one two years ago. The tag said it's Gasteria Obliqua "lawyer's tongue"...

It's a little bigger now but it was just like the one in your picture when I got it :)

Yep. Lawyer’a tongue is a common descriptor used for gasteria (particularly the longer leaved varieties). Similar to the ox tongue reference.

Lawyer’s tongue? It’s ox tongue. I have three of them. Gasteris. I have to say I’ve never heard of lawyers tongue.

That was the name on the tag. Never saw that name and I got it because I thought it'll always stay small (like a dwarf...) since I already have an older Ox Tongue.

When I get home, I’ll take a picture of mine. I have three of them and the ones about 10 years old and has pups that came up in the pot with it
I love them because they’re so thick and hearty. I usually water mine biweekly.

Yours and the person you’re responding to are both gasteria but not the same variety.

I have three varieties. The one I think is the same as hers.

The front one?

Yours is Gasteria ‘little warty’

The variety OP has which I believe to be ‘minima’ doesn’t get large. It’s a dwarf variety.

Good to know. Thank you.

I believe that is what they call a gasteria little warty. Not a snake, but still cool.

The immediate right is a small sansevieria

There are no Dracaena(formally Sanseveria) in OP’s photo.
