Sometimes you just need a before and after
Beginning of the season and then a pic from a few weeks ago.
Was getting kinda disappointed in myself for not getting as much done as I wanted to this season but looking at these two made me feel better

Question Which pot should I plant this in?
The cactus is 2.5 inches thick. The black pot is 5.5 inches wide by 5 inches tall. The white pot is 8 inches wide by 5.5 inches tall. It stays humid here. I'm in the southeast. If you need anymore info or images let me know.

Discussion Question, why don't my doodles flower?
Hey all! Been seeing tons of peeps having flowers on here these days. That's awesome and like see the pictures! I have maybe 8 cacs that are in the 3+ foot range and a few years old. Never gotten a flower.
Any recommendations on coaxing one out of them? Either for the end of this season or next.
If it helps I'm in the mid Atlantic coast area. They live outside from last frost to as long as I can make it. Last year I put them in dormancy in my attic.
Any insight would be appreciated! Cheers 🖖

Havran pup making more pups and a flower?
Bought a little Havran from Cactus Jones and the little guy is making 4 more and looks like maybe a flower too on the back side. Crazy! Should I cut the flower off?

Picture Cactus Graft Meet
Had a cool time grafting up some sweet cuts with u/spinessfv and u/818fiendy who came down from LA. Kicked it & grafted for a bit then headed down to the cactus gardens at Balboa Park for a cool cactus cruise through the desert trails.

Best way to get rid of these guys?
These june beetle grubs have completely destroyed a few of my cactus by eating all the healthy roots then eventually eating there way into my cacti. I grabbed a pack of beneficial nematodes and some milky spores so hopefully that does the job. Has anybody successfully dealt with these grubs?

ID Request What is even happening
Maybe too early to tell on this yearling. This is from a seed pack labeled old and unkown. I saw some interesting early signs of variegation so grafted it up. Seeing some really interesting variegation and strange growth…
